Church in a bar

Церковь в баре We are accustomed to perceive the church as something sacred and patriarchal way of life and spiritual traditions which were created over two thousand years. Most modern people are living outside the church, and very rarely do they come to church to seek resolution of their difficulties or problems. They see church as something separate from themselves. But the church does not always ready to accept the pain a person who does not know Christ as his own. Not always ready to answer the question of the modern parishioners, who sometimes come to the temple in search of solutions only immediate problems, carrying with them a whole heap of stereotypes regarding the church, not thinking seriously over the content of his life and with no intention of changing it no matter what it was .

Modern Church in Wales Ararat Baptist Church has found an original and even a bold way to solve this problem. To lure parishioners in his church, a young priest, Reverend James Curran (Reverend James Karran) suffered a church service at night entertainment venues - bars and clubs, where the modern "congregation" are allowed to drink, smoke and listen to music during the sermon.

Such preaching in bars are held every Sunday, and have become quite popular among local youth. Church at the bar - it's part of the experiment, which aims to make the church more modern, democratic and accessible. "Do not wait until parishioners come to you - go for it yourself" - this slogan of the campaign, promotes the church in the 21 century.

The idea to organize a church sermon in the bars came the 26-year old priest, he is a representative of young people, leading an active life, it happens in nightclubs and bars. Curran thought that if young people do not go to church, so the church should come to youth - in bars and clubs.

Due to such democratic and accessible, the local church in Wales will be able to build his numerous community of parishioners who will not separate themselves from the church and church-run mission - the reconciliation of all with God and with each other, preaching, teaching and healing.
