The UK will soon have vending tablets. The first five vending machines to sell most popular medications are installed in hospitals and access will be provided clock. The need for this kind of vending machines have long been in Europe to buy drugs is not as easy as in Russia - the pharmacy does not operate around the clock, and the majority of medications dispensed by prescription.
In other words, the opportunity to buy drugs immediately, and when necessary, especially tourists, is not there. On the other hand, representatives of pharmaceutical business experience would not be installed vending medicines downturn in their business and even closure of some pharmacies.
The British Government, which provides support for the company to install the machines with medications, said that each year the British consume one billion tablets, so the need for such machines is huge. But they will not be a substitute for pharmacies that offer additional services to the public, such as rapid diagnostics, review medications, and just live communication.
One vending machine tablets will cost the company approximately 50,000 pounds sterling. They are engaged in the development of a Canadian company PharmaTrust.
Machines will be two types of 330 drugs for 2000 tablets. Each package of tablets will contain a special microchip that allows the machine will be able to recognize it.
