British architect Mark Anderson has found an original way to draw attention to one of the smaller coastal towns of England - Dorset (well, and to his own person, of course, too) - he built a hotel from the sand ....
The construction of this unusual sand hotel took 1000 tons of sand. Actual construction of the sand castle did not take more than a week, though, the workers toiled 14 hours a day, erecting sand unusual design.
Of sand are made not only the hotel wall height of about 4 meters, but all of its interior. Guests are invited to an unusual hotel to sleep on the sand bed, sit on the sand sofas and armchairs, enjoying the open sky overhead, and the absurdity of the situation. And all this for some 10 pounds (21 dollars) a day:).
Traditional comforts in a sandy hotel does not provide, in other words, sandy toilet it is not provided (presumably located nearby toll booth composting toilets). Of the entertainment in this hotel only a miracle tan outdoors or stargazing night sky (the roof of the hotel, sandy, you guessed it, none).
And even despite the absence of the usual tourist comfort, unusual hotel management expects at least a few million curious romantics in the year, these things are ready to visit the sandy miracle.
